Day 1: Arrival in Leh
Arrive at Leh Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport, one of the highest airports in the world at 3500 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, meet our representative who will assist you in transferring to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure to acclimatize to the high altitude. In the evening, visit the iconic Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and explore the local Leh Market. Enjoy a restful overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Explore Leh and Sham Valley
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive along the Leh-Srinagar highway, following the beautiful Indus River. Your first stop will be the Hall of Fame, a museum established by the Indian Army to honor the soldiers. Later, visit Spituk Monastery, renowned for its stunning architecture, followed by a visit to Gragspa 'Bum-lde', a monastery that follows the Kadampa and Gelukpa schools of Buddhism. Return to Leh in the evening for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Visit Pangong Lake
After an early breakfast, drive towards the mesmerizing Pangong Lake, crossing the Changla Pass (one of the highest motorable passes in the world). The drive offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes. Stop at Changla Pass for a quick photo opportunity before reaching the serene Pangong Lake. Spend some time by the lake, soaking in the tranquility of this stunning spot. Return to Leh in the evening via the same route. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Monastery Tour in Leh
Post breakfast, explore the spiritual heritage of Leh with a visit to the famous monasteries in the Indus Valley. Begin your tour with Hemis Gompa, the largest monastery of the Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Then, head to Thiksey Monastery, known for its stunning architecture and breathtaking views. After the monastery tour, return to Leh and enjoy the evening at leisure to explore the town at your own pace. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Khardung La Pass Adventure
After breakfast, get ready for an exciting journey to Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable road, standing at 5,602 meters. The pass offers panoramic views of the Zanskar Range and the Karakoram Range. After spending time admiring the view, return to Leh for lunch. In the afternoon, you can indulge in some last-minute shopping at Leh’s local markets. Enjoy a relaxing evening and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Departure from Leh
After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to the domestic airport for your onward flight. Depart Leh with cherished memories of your Ladakh adventure.
